Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
ALPA didn't negotiate bupkis. DALPA negotiated this profitsharing... It's not a minor distinction.

Rumor alert! Talked to a MEM based pilot and he said the MEM base chief pilot told him that MEM would eventually get 45 MD90s, and I don't know if that meant that many crews, or trips etc. Maybe the bus and 9 categories will eventually leave MEM and MD90s will takeover? That plane might be able to hit both coasts from there, like MSP. He did specifically say "45 MD90s.". Take that for what it's worth, a rumor.
Typically specific aircraft aren't assigned to a base (or in that number...)
Even the 16 MD90 where "shared" between SLC and CVG once Delta closed DFW...
(we) Delta, have 16 whales covered only by DTW pilots...
Cheers
George
Positions, not A/C, sounds about right. Makes a lot of sense with the -9 draw down.

Given DAL loves those things so much that they keep getting more I'd sure like to see the Connection be scrubbed off the side and have them flown by people 100% committed to this airline, its customers, their fellow employees and paying 1. whatever percent to the union who got them those planes...
I don't really care about paying ALPA dues on our profit sharing. I do care about ALPA taking those dues and facilitating the outsourcing that easily cost me over a million in lifetime earnings due to stagnation, loss of longevity and whipsaw.

I'd agree that might have been what he meant....
45 MD 90's would mean that roughly 41% of the flyable MD 90's *that exist worldwide* would be comming to Memphis. Don't know about that...
The range on the 90's is about 2300 (statute) miles, so it could do both coasts. Might make sense to ship the 320's down to ATL, and have 88's/90's move to MEM. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Take everything that comes from flt ops management with a big grain of salt. I personally don't think they're out to deceive us, but the info they give is only as good as the info they get. Case in point: SD in the weekly update about a month or two ago stated that he thought there would be "strong growth" in the MD90 flying on the January AE. Planes are slow comming out of the shop, and it ends up being the only category with displacements when the bid is actually released.
You could have hid around the corner and waited for the FA to approach, jumped out and said BOO! That might have worked.
