Sounds like a single carrier to me!

Then look a little closer and see their new route from MSP-MCI and tell me how that isn't competing directly with us.

I really don't care how tired you are of rehashing this every six months... it keeps coming up because it has legs.
And where does it say Shuttle America? They are stating dour different airlines. Shuttle America does a a lot of our flying, fwiw. Probably is not omitted by mistake!!!

Single Carrier status would be great. I would want nothing more than to see this happen, but given the language in our PWA, and past practices, unless something changes within their structure, there is little leverage.

Great point. Want to push the fact that we sell tickets on AF, KLM, GOL, HI, AS, Vietnam, China Eastern and Southern, Korean, you get my point. Want to fight single carrier status with some of these non unionized airlines in countries where organized labor is illegal? (I know spare me the fact that we can't it will for illustrative purposes only) Point is that just because a map is showing different airlines and their route network, does not mean it constitutes single carrier.

Look at our PWA, then look at how RJET is structure, not how you want it to be structured, and find where, beyond a shadow of a doubt there is a violation. If you can, file a grievance, and have Contract Admin verify it. They may just but a Bronze Bust of you up at DALPA.

Finally can stop biting my nails... got my letter back from Delta to return from furlough/MLOA after being gone since Nov 2001. Scheduled for Indoc class in May. 737 training sometime after that, then SLC.
They said they'd send a copy of my "flight training and training schedule" to home approx three weeks before class, so not sure when the class will really be.

So, 1. how long is 737 class?
and 2. how early do I need to start studying/doing the online training beforehand?

They will send you a letter with all of the info needed.

You can get on Delta Net and request your books for the 73N, as well as the training CD's.
You will need a few of them, so you may want to call manual services and just tell them what you need and have them ship them to your house.
Get these done and input the codes. The "oral" is a test on the fifth day of 73N school.

Do we have a single seniority list?

RJET has been operating that way for many years with no issue (grievance filed) from any DAL line pilots. Republic has been operating the E-190 for many moons without a peep. It is in the way the corporation is structured. After all it was structured this way to get around ours, UAUA's and LCC"s scope sections.

ACL;
Thanks for helping to highlight this issue to all of the posters/lurkers. Even though it gets rehashed, it is a super important element of ALPA failure history. Now with that said, the real proof of ALPA is right around the corner with the single carrier issue.

IF ALPA DOES NOTHING, THERE IS NO REASON TO KEEP THEM AROUND.

Scambo, that is a highly emotional statement coming from you. What you are saying is that you want ALPA to spend money just to make its members "feel" good, when past practice will be the precedence going forward?
To further clarify; If nothing structurally changes within RJET, you think that ALPA will win that fight? If you do not think that past practices and contractual interpretations matter, then, are you saying you just want to see ALPA fight for the sake of fighting and spend your money frivolously?

I do not like it either, but as I have said before, best way to deal with this is to spend your money and resources on what is in front of you, not what is behind you. To be clear, I am referring to C2012 and Section One. Fix the clause get a commitment from DAL to not write new ASA, amend, modify or extend existing ones. Do not sell the 100 seat jet. Hold Skyteam to language that will not allow RJET to feed a foreign carrier. (this one is big. What it means is our section one prevails and makes a cabatoage clause for us and defines us as the US domestic carrier and no one else unless agreed to in our PWA, it will be worth its weight in gold going forward)
