The ER can do it. The 50,000 lb thrust engines on the other hand are better used as hair dryers.

Darn. I'll outsource you before you can tell anyone.

Anyone know of a good mechanic? For some reason the wrenches around here will not talk to me and I'm tired of changing the oil on my wife's GL450. Oil drips on my head and leaves a stain.

Speaking of 747's. How about a 975,000lb RTO?

Curious:

Could SkyWest buy a 120 seat jet, fly it for Alaska and fill it half way up with our passengers under AS code?

Alaska's guys say yes. I'm thinking no, unless SkyWest jumped the hoop of getting a distinct Certificate to run it on. Of course, Republic runs "marketing" Certificates (FAA's term) like they print them out of a photocopier.

Speaking of Republic... When in May is the MEC supposed to report back to us on their "investigation" into why this is not a scope violation?

Apparently, Skywest is in the process of hiring 600-800 pilots. FWIW.

Their "investigators" will find Jimmy Hoffa before they find any scope violation.

You guys still don't get it. What is ALPA's INTENT ?

They want Republic out there to drive down wages in the belief that cheaper outsourced flying means more money for the favored pilots on our list. Not only is there not a scope violation, we engineered it this way.
