BTW, just went through the new philosophy recurrent. Bravo to the training guys and the course designers. Great two days of actual training and education and not-so-much inane gotcha stuff.

Sir, I think you might be correct. I couldn't find much etymology (that's the study of word origins, right? or it something about insects.. I forget) Anyway, not much on the word other than it originated around 1825 which might suggest that it WAS more of a western thing. I stand corrected... I think. :eek:

Since most of the news has been bad lately, here's a bright spot. At least according to wiki, here is the Air Nigeria fleet:

Boeing 737-300 8
Boeing 737-400 0 1 order
Embraer E-190 2 7 order

I don't THINK they have anything that can make it across, so hopefully this will just be their pax connecting to our transoceanic stuff. I hope Delta doesn't buy them a few widebodies so they don't have to pay us to fly them. All this stagnation makes a guy cynical!

Oh yeah, could we please let the SWA to Europe thread die or use pictures to get it taken down? We are looking a little insecure over there, and it's not even a fun thing to think about. At least for the junior guys!
