Actually, the guys with the M-14s look to be the -9 drivers and the kid in the yellow the side-stick twister.

Love the guy in the rear with the camera.

Do the FTDT rumors (so far) suggest that intl 24hr SC will be phased out? Or do they convieniently leave that out?
What I remember of the proposed regs is that they no longer differentiate between flag and domsetic operations - they only look at the number of pilots flying. And yes, there were much stricter rules for "short call reserve" even for 3+ pilot crews. From what I saw, 24hr short calls will be a thing of the past.

Can anyone tell me how far in advance you know when you do your recurrent 9 month training? For example, if I am due in Aug, Sep, Oct, when will I find out if it is assigned in Aug?

If you go to DELTANET, click on your airplane then select Simulator Schedules you will see whatever they have programmed so far (do a search for your name). That's the best I can do without knowing the secret handshake.

They have to post training prior to the 5th of the month before. So, for August they would post it by July 5th.

There are paragraphs and paragraphs of text regarding Reserve in the ORIGINAL proposal that was published requesting comments.

The things I think you are interested in are:

• A short-call reserve duty period in
which the crewmember is not called to
report to work may not exceed 14 hours.

• Conversion from long-call to short-
call reserve assignment must be
preceded by a legal rest period.

They are also recommending a RAP system like fNW used. (More improvements from those damn Northies)

Side note: Reserve was one of only two areas of agreement reached by management and labor representatives on the ARC.

Yes, but I bet every FA at WN already has that pic on their cellphone.
