Shows how much you know. You do have the same union. And I believe you meant "our union". ;) :p
Take the time to move on. You can be happy. The SLI is over & all of our lives are effected by it. Your griping & childish name calling isn't going to change it. |
Y'all be careful out there...
Incident: Delta Airlines B763 near Bangor on May 4th 2009, air data computer failure, lost most instruments By Simon Hradecky, created Tuesday, May 5th 2009 08:57Z, last updated Tuesday, May 5th 2009 09:23Z A Delta Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N171DZ performing flight DL-148 from New York JFK,NY (USA) to Rome Fiumicino (Italy), was enroute at FL330 about 120nm south of Bangor,ME (USA) in night time conditions, when the crew declared emergency reporting, that they had lost all air data computers and had lost most of the flight instruments. They requested to return to New York's John F. Kennedy Airport and asked for a block altitude clearance due to unreliable altimeter readings. In the end the crew diverted to Bangor,ME (USA), where the airplane landed safely on runway 33 about 23 minutes after declaring emergency at 20:23 EDT (May 5th 0:23Z). A replacement Boeing 767-300 registration N1602 was dispatched from JFK to Bangor as flight DL-9904 and resumed flight DL-148 8 hours after N171DZ touched down in Bangor. |

There should be no anger. That is why we had neutral third party arbitrators. That way we cannot blame each other. Lets grow up and move on. We are all going to have a little bit of adjusting to do over the next few years.

Anything involving a hack saw and duct tape and transfer to ADC 1?

Anyone? Can this be confirmed?
With that said, about %99 of the of guys who bothered to buy the jackets WANTED to keep them. This was a subject of SIGNFICANT discussion with the DAL-S side of the house, but they absolutely refused to budge. FWIW, about half the guys kept their jackets anyway (and got no money), because they really are quite nice. Soooo, if you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at your own DAL side managament. I would have just as soon been able to still wear mine, and take less $$ for replacement pants. But they wanted it their way...so be it. Nu |

The very truth of what I write is evident as those issues (aircraft retirements, who gets the growth, and base moves) are the most common topics on the web boards. It is self evident that the award did not recognize status quo and the majority of pilots are now out of position for their number. As for the pilots, you are correct, there is no need to be angry at them unless they really rub it in. Frankly, I will be surprised if Richard Bloch is selected again by an organized labor group. He went so far off the reservation that he is now considered highly unpredictable. I'm with ACL that the fences may come down rather than have a battle over nearly nothing. There is little need for them, inasmuch as the 787 we want will not arrive until after the fence and the 787 is a 767 replacement. It really has nothing to do with the 777. The 777-300 is a 747 replacement, IMHO. |

How did anything you do recognize the present REAL equity of status quo? My nose will be about 1/8th an inch from his, I am taller than he is, and I will do my best not to spit when I speak.

All in all i am just glad this didn't turn into USAIR part deux!! |
Super - yep, definitely... guess US Air will be two airlines with no common contract for nearly forever. What worries me is that US Air's labor disaster works well for management. It would be my hope they could somehow get their crap together and get a contract, but I'm not optimistic that America West's pay will be brought up anytime soon.
