I don't think even NewK could fly this high!!!!!
Hi Hoserpilot,
If you can squeeze every ounce of performance out of the maddog on every flight, you'd have a shot at taking Co-chair of resident "Sky-god" along with NewK.

That and I thought a decision would be out by now on RAH, where is that?

Speaking of records - Once saw 651 KTs groundspeed on the Maddogs military cousin, the USN C-9B. We were flying over SW Japan in the high twenties in March. They turned us about 45 degrees off of the wind and our GS shot up over 600 KTs so when we got another turn almost completely downwind we bumped our speed up to the clacker (.84M) which resulted in a 651 Kt groundspeed. We figure we had close to a 170 KT tailwind.

Anyone have better than 651 KTS Groundspeed? And before all you TACAIR types chime in, I am strictly referring to transport and commercial type aircraft.

Scoop

PS - And yes, we did take a picture of the FMS to prove it later on at the Atsugi O Club.

Oh my...can't imagine what that would do in terms of evolved gas disorders. A-37 had the J-85 engines, but those of us in the underperforming Tweet had the venerable J-69 centrifugal flow engines, with the highest noise to weight ratio of any aircraft in the inventory.

I can beat that. Right in the same vicinity south of Japan.
On a flight from Cubi Point to Kadena we got a P-3 going 11 knots backwards.
Same wind, same altitude. Around 170-180 kts headwind. Dropped the flaps and slowed down and actually went backwards.

Anyone on Reserve use IcrewMax?

I ask specifically about reserve because the old version wasn't very reserve friendly. With the new version, if you get assigned a trip, update IcrewMax, will it show your trip on your line? Does it ask for acknowledgement for assigned trips? Can you see a trip without acknowledgement?

Thanks.

You can view your trip after you update. Haven't tried to do it before acknowledging the trip.

You are greatly overestimating the efficacy of your union reps, as well as the communication chain between them, Compass management, and finally down to Cpz line pilots. IF Compass management actually received a complaint about PA's referring to "Delta" not followed by the (willfully deceptive) addendum "Connection", they wouldn't care. And if they cared, they would take so long to communicate (if they remembered at all) a reproach to the offending crews that the force of the point would be lost. The same, I'm afraid to say, would be likely be true if this complaint would be carried through strictly Union channels.

Use the square brackets ][ to enclose the code that appears after the equal sign in the youtube address.

for example (Using parentheses in place of the square brackets)=

typing --- (youtube)vrCvLOpLKQ89(/youtube)

would display this:
