That's not the first time I've heard that, but it bears knowing....Just because it has an updated cockpit doesn't mean the engines and other moving parts are reliable.... |
Hey all, just wondering if and/or when is Delta going to start interviewing???
P.S. I vote for Mila! |

FTB, you should seriously consider moving to the 320 or 737 on the next bid. Those guys love those planes, and the rotations are even better. Give it some thought. I think you're up for the challenge and reward.
But on your wedding night when the big moment comes you look at her and ask "how is this going to work?" And she says "well, I'll lay eggs over there and then you go fertilize them." That's when you say "wait right here..." and you run out of the room never to be seen again. http://sharetv.org/images/guide/206076.jpg That whole concept came from Futurama by the way. I will retire on the 320 I think though but I am fully planning on being stuck on MD88 reserve, sometimes holding a line, until my 10th year. THEN THE RETIREMENTS KICK IN AND...

Give genuine military grade Tear Gas a try. It will clear you right up.
FTB, I've got a little present for you ..... GK has changed his mind about the 717's. He no likey. From the horses mouth. Cheers Glass half full- win win for all. SWA has so many 737s coming in that as 717s leave there will be 737s to take their place and there is no jobs or movement threatened. Glass half empty-Meanwhile, while a E190's avionics, super comfortable 2x2 cabin and overall looks best the 717, the 717 is a better airplane for us. First it'd be the 100 seat replacement without incurring any scope sale discussion by some. Too bad the E190 isn't the Boeing 190, idiots didn't think anyone would order RJs, great job Boeing. Anyways, the 717 is far far cheaper than a E190 which is good, more seating, fleet commonality and so on make it an ideal airplane. Best part would be if the 717 is acquired after AAI pilots get a $50-$60K pay raise and any DAL pilots with their heads in the sand will be rudely awakened to find out we're flying airplanes AAI got rid of for $50K less then they. That's just priceless stuff and great fodder for C2012. I'm not in the mood for glass half empty. So I don't know what to say. Like anything I'll believe it when I see it but the 717 would be ideal for it's size (as in small enough but big enough) and acquisition cost. But seriously, I'll fly a Baron 58 if it offers better pay and QOL. I'd love it we ordered a bunch of those and paid SWA wages. |
Slow Saturday night......

If RJ's are good for Delta pilots, I have a simple question, would we be hiring if we dumped all the 51-76 seaters tomorrow or took back LAX?
