Yeah, the terminal 6 renovation is fully underway. We also sexed up the ticket counter in 5 and "rumors are" a new ops and lounge renovation. One of the CAs I fly with is one of the last Western holdovers. According to him, the pilot lounge and ops offices haven't been touched since about 1975. We don't even get a cell signal or wireless in the lounge.

Side question:
I'm on reserve and had yesterday off. I called the VRU at 4:19pm yesterday and it said I had nothing to acknowledge. I got a call from scheduling this morning at 3:30am telling me I have a 6:30 report and that the trip was put on my schedule at 10:30 am yesterday. Does this sound right? Am I obligated to check my schedule via the computer at 3pm or is the VRU phone call enough? The scheduler said that they have no way of knowing when I called in and that they can only know if and when I check the computer. |

Call ALPA - 1-800-USA-ALPA, talk to the scheduling people - they'll sort this out. But as I understand, checking via the VRU covers you. Did you also check your Call Status via the VRU (for SC)?

I thought so too but the scheduler said no it doesn't. They only know when you check the computer. Does this sound right?
