Bumped it up for you.
You can always subscribe to a thread, or Click on "New Posts" it the navigation bar on the top of this page. Let me see what I can dig up. I know that what you are talking about. The only time you can go the the last read post and the L and G is when it is the Thread that shows up first in the majors section. With the UCAL Sub forum sometimes the L and G is still first but there is a more recent post in the UCAL Sub-forum. |
Thanks for looking into it.

Side question:
I'm on reserve and had yesterday off. I called the VRU at 4:19pm yesterday and it said I had nothing to acknowledge. I got a call from scheduling this morning at 3:30am telling me I have a 6:30 report and that the trip was put on my schedule at 10:30 am yesterday. Does this sound right? Am I obligated to check my schedule via the computer at 3pm or is the VRU phone call enough? The scheduler said that they have no way of knowing when I called in and that they can only know if and when I check the computer. There are a bunch of new scheduler and they have NO idea what they are doing, many coming from other departments in the company. All the other responses to your question are spot on. |

Off topic...
Moderators, when I initially log into APC forums, top level, if L&G is the last posting and showing on the right side for "majors," and I click on it...it takes me to the page of L&G that I last visited, or essentially the last post that I read. Any chance to change the format so that I always have the option of coming back to where I left off? Please PM if this doesn't make any sense. You can change how threads are displayed, this may help: http://www.airlinepilotforums.com/pr...do=editoptions Airline Pilot Central Forums - FAQ: General Forum Usage Also, you can subscribe to threads to get email or PM when changes are made, however, for the L&G thread.....get ready for a full inbox! |
Can't help myself; have to share. This is who NYC/M88B guys get hang with between trips. More than enough for the whole crash pad to enjoy. (senior to me) ATL/M88Bs take note and get your bid in for next AE!

Anyone know if the company has released the final counts for the early outs, aka breakdown by equipment etc....Will these retirements affect any of the latest AE awards?

All correct, if you assume that DAL actually would wants to do the flying, versus make a little less money, not invest in more metal, and have a larger virtual network.
The argument that you give is logical, but what comes before this argument is more important. What is DAL's strategic vision?; One where they continue to grow organically and acquire the competition, or one where there is a gigantic transnational virtual network, where most of the flying is not performed on their branded metal, but coded metal. Pilots and unions want their companies to do well, but we also want to see growth a job protection and expansion. What we are currently seeing is growth off of our list, that provides a better network for the DAL passenger, but a nonlinear return for the pilots. IMO, that is where all of the angst is over the Metal Neutral, as well as the code share and capacity agreements. Everyone understands your points, but we need to look at the assumptions on which they are made. I hear the argument that the money issue can be manipulated, but Alaska isn't a wholly owned subsidiary, they are responsible to their own stock holders who want to see Alaska capture as much revenue as possible. So they are going to want as much of that ticket as they can get. The same is true of Delta. |

All the other responses to your question are spot on. Used to be, at least they were fairly pleasant when they told me to eff off - now most of them act like they're doing me a huge favor to answer the phone. |
