Lighten up, Francis.

At Delta, the MEC is elected by the pilots. The MEC elects the Chairman. If there is some conflict of ideas, we always know who is in charge. The Chairman works for the MEC, so the MEC is the boss. The MEC works for the pilots so the pilots are the boss.

That is why there is no direct election of the Chairman. If the pilots elected the Chairman, what would stop him from going his own way and ignoring the wishes of the MEC?

Chain of command.
Thanks for the civics lesson. Once again, alpa has the penultimate government. I wish the USA could follow alpa's lead in all these kinds of things since it is such a perfect organization...

I won't because you weigh in pretty heavily that commuting is a choice when you have no perspective in the matter. You are out of line.. again. I Will give you this though.. you are consistent.

You have me at a disadvantage. If I knew how, I would delete my profile on this forum...

P.S. Of course since you have apparently have not been paying attention recently, the good ol U S of A IS pretty scary right now, and it is because some member(s) of the executive branch are making attempts to throw that Constitution right out the window. The members of the Legislative branch apparently have not had a clue for at least 800 days, and now the country is on the brink of an economic collapse. Just like ALPA, we depend on our representatives to do the right thing. I cannot remember the last time they actually did so. So it's not the perfect system, but it's the best money can buy.. (be sure to contribute to ALPA-PAC)

I'm sensing a common theme here. Someone has a different viewpoint/opinion/idea/background/wish/want/need then yours and they have no credibility. Got it. You must be real peach to fly with........

Thanks for the apology and for owning up your crotchidiness. Next thing I know you're spraying neighborhood kids with the water hose for walking on your lawn

OK, of all the controversies shaking our nation from the budget to the MEC road show and Delta's RFP none has been so soul shaking to the average redneck Peachtree City resident as the disturbance in the force that is NASCAR. Seems a Preacher got cute with his prayer and by golly, that's sacrilege when the goal is to drink too much beer and get sunburned while watching motorized roll cages go around a circle called "stock car" racin'

Well, someone applied the best auto tune technology from FRIDAY FRIDAY and rocked the Preacher. The result is pure redneck nirvana:

‪Songify This - BEST NASCAR PRAYER EVER - in song‬‏ - YouTube

BOOGITY BOOGITY BOOGITY, AMEN!
