Why is this bad? The passengers have to move. None of the money is going to Quantas. The Quantas employees should encourage this. It will put more pressure on Quantas.

The AFKLM/AZ Joint Venture is a revenue sharing, metal neutral agreement.
Any lost revenue or lack of profit on the AFKLM/AZ side hurts Delta to the tune of 50% of the lost revenue.

Likewise any revenue loss at Delta hurts AFKLM/AZ just the same, and obviously profits are affected in the same manner, they are shared.

No worries mate.

We're only exposed to the Bundle 1 flights for this, so all Transatlantic and the LAX FAA (Papeete Tahiti) flight.

WOW,.Good news!!!!:)! THis airline business is like a cranky old woman. THey cant keep their stories straight and they keep on changing their plans.

On a side note. Just flew Hawaiian to HNL a couple days ago. Sat in coach on a fare ticket. I can not believe how much better their service is than ours (clean/pretty airplanes, good food and an overall festive onboard vibe). We need to step it up to the Islands.
