What are the feelings on the new LOA 31 that got passed? Will this mean people are going to buddy bid with LCA again?

Seems like a win win for all though kinda stinks for the new hires. Most new hires I know stayed on the same jet for 12 months unless MD'd by things the COMPANY did. I know a couple who went from ER to domestic 76, but that is very little training.

Allegedly, a Line Check guy from the previous airline tried to fry a frozen Turkey on the back of his very big, very nice, house boat. Somehow while on a beer run the thing exploded, effectively torpedo'ng the boat. The insurer was convinced he did it on purpose and tied him up in Court for a while.

He never talked about it, but boy everyone else sure did.

Why can't we negotiate the removal of EWR from NYC? Make Delta staff it as a separate base? Why not?

A guy can go to Detroit from Atlanta in about the same time as it takes to get to EWR from NYC.

Good thing we have these payscales this way...

Why did he pay for a cab? Busses and trains will get you there too....

There are a number of ways to EWR that don't cost and arm and leg, but do take a while.

Kew Gardens to Jamaica - Cab I guess
E train to Penn Station - $2.50
North Jersey Coast Line Train - Newark Airport RR station - like $12.50
Air Train - EWR

At Penn Station you can also walk to the PATH and take that to Newark and get on a Train to the Newark Airport RR station though it is still like $8-10. Plus if you get yourself to Hoboken or Newark, the cab ride from there drops to $30

Just a little help for the newbies coming to NYC. As said earlier though, I beg for EWR trips on the ER and never get them. Lots of 88 trips though and some 73.

Oh and it all depends on the time of day. 5 am show at EWR without a car is a nightmare.
