I lifted this from a post in the ALPA forum....

As he was about to ask the parrot what had made such a dramatic change in his behavior, the bird spoke-up, very softly, "May I ask what the turkey did?"

Thanks for that newK. It is all about perspective. I find lots of reasons to be thankful today and I didn't see the frozen turkey.

Have a blessed day ALL.:)

Has anyone floated the idea of Holiday pay? It would give those who would otherwise be junior a chance to have the day/s off and those who don't care, don't have family around, etc. a chance to make a little extra coin. Don't most other companies do Holiday pay?

Well, you can get 1.5 times pay at SkyWest on holidays flying around Delta passengers, but not if you're a Delta pilot. Curious...

No holiday pay at mother DAL??
At Compass we get 4 hours extra if a pilot is not off. (Stuck in the hotel all day on a holiday pays 4 hours also).
I think thats what NWA had

Crazy. I'll bet next you'll say that Compass even pays for hotel rooms during training.

Jetblue gives DOUBLE pay on holidays, and Southwest gives 1.5.

Our FAs get $20 an hour holiday pay, additional, for working on a holiday. There's only 5 that they get the extra pay, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

Delta Macy's Day Thanksgiving Day Parade float was just on NBC. Not bad, good camera coverage of the logo.

I think the "me too" clause would be appropriate. :)
