We absolutely, positively have to win on customer service. Yeah, I know we make our money in business class and break even in coach, but without coach we fall behind.

This applies to upgrading our snacks (Why can JetBlue give out Blue Chips, while we're stuck with boring pretzels and peanuts?) to upgrading our gate agents to upgrading our ground crews to upgrading ourselves. Every single one of us who come face-to-face with customers need to put on our smiles and make our customers feel like they're the most important people in the world.

That's how we win.

Bad, bad mojo wishing ill thoughts towards AMR and it's pilots hoping for a DFW base or to pick up the pieces.

Karma is a real *****.

I agree Nu.

Does anyone know if you get displaced for OE via 23.G.5, and you don't get assigned recovery flying prior to 12 hours before your original report, if you can then start white slipping trips for pay in addition to your pay and credit received for the displacement?

Example: Displaced from a four day and get 22:00ish pay and credit. Don't get recovery flying. Could I then (in theory) WS another four day the same days and basically get paid another 22:00 making it effectively double time on those days?

Thanks.

I honestly think 85% of us do all we can to create that customer bond and have always done it. It is a choice, not so much about how we make others feel, but how we feel about ourselves. Delta is so big that what looks good on a PowerPoint briefing can be implemented while totally undermining all the good will and effort of the 85%. This management team does not want to please the people in coach. Coach is full.

I think you are most correct.

I mean we offer NYC, but so does AMR and they also add BOS and UAL owns EWR.

We offer the north in DTW and MSP, UAL and AMR offer Chicago.

We offer Atlanta, AMR offers DFW and UCAL offers IAH. I actually think connection wise Atlanta is still better than IAH and DFW.

AMR offers MIA, neither us nor UAL own a hub in FL.

We have a lot of service out of DCA but UAL owns IAD and everyone serves DCA.

We offer SLC and UAL offers DEN.

We offer LAX and SEA (mostly via Alaska) and UAL offers LAX and SFO and AMR is in LAX too.

Only one first down in the first half??

Well, so much for Auburn. War Eagle my arse...

Time to get more beer and get ready for Noles-Gators.

And how about some Under boob to take the edge off?

Anyone think there might be a LSU-Bama do-over for the BCS game?

What's going on with the 777 fleet, we added slots and at the same time are reducing 777 flight segments?
