OK, enough of this nonsense, can we talk about something IMPORTANT??!!

Iron Bowl today, 3:30pm east coast, and FL-FSU, tonight 7pm.

Place your bets!

Alabama is a 20 point overdog, so I'll go with Auburn. And I think (hope) FSU will stick it to the Gators....in a bad way.

Oh, and how did you like LSU last night? And what about the Ducks, who do they play today?

You've left out the GT v UGA game!

Go Jackets - sting 'em.

Go Tigers, need more chaos in BCS!

I try to avoid -anything- with the word 'Georgia' in it on my days off...

:D

It is funny when you compare hubs between DAL, UAL and AMR. It just seems whatever we have is a tie or they one up us. That's not always bad though.

But then you look at the fleets.... AA and UAL are far superior. Delta has more fleets and sub fleets with in those fleets than UAL and AA combined.

Not for long, parking the DC9's, the older 757's will be replaced by more 737-900's, I'll bet the older 767's will be next...replaced by...? Then there's the 747 problem.

Old gas guzzlers hauling light loads is never good for long term viability. With the Tsunami and loads in/out of Tokyo off, I'm surprised they haven't started parking them already. They did not replace the early outs off of it, and there were some displacements off it in the last bid though...so...you do the math on that one.

What problem is that? Oh, you mean since the real Delta didn't have 747's, it means 747's are bad.

If the loads were light, you'd have a point. But since they're not, you don't.

The loads aren't off. I don't even remember the last time I didn't have a nearly full load of pax and 45,000 of cargo on the jet in or out of NRT. Hate to spoil your surprise, but the latest I've heard from management is the 747 will be in the fleet now til 2020. They obviously didn't consult you on this.

The reason we're losing pilots on it is because they are going in for refurbishing 2 at a time. You know, so they can be flown til 2020. ;)

Ummm, I guess yield is a foreign concept to you. At least the Board of Directors of the worlds largest airline paid attention. Let me guess, RD?

Oregon State...it's the Civil War! Should be a Ducks blowout but as I always say, never underestimate the power of a Beaver :D.

You're just baiting Carl, right?

They are not replacing or parking any of the 744s as of now. Actually, they were supposed to get rid of two of them, and now they won't. The reason they have not replaced the 30 retiring Captains on the 744 is because they are scheduled to have 3 744s out for lie flat seat mods until almost the beginning of Summer, so they didn't want to train everyone now and then have them sit for 6 months.
