Might be wrong, but I do not remember that.

NWA negotiated it for Compass, but did not have it themselves.

The term was incentive pay, if you did not call in sick between Thanksgiving and New Years it was $1000.

Just a thought, but if AA can't get figured out and they commit hari kari(I hope that does not happen), does anyone think that DAL paying off the MSP airports debt early is a move to be ready to jump back into DFW and dump MSP as a hub?

In order to close the training center Delta had to pay off the loans. A job floor was a requirement of the original financing.

Partially true. The job floor is around 10,000 employees and Delta employs around 12,000 in the MSP area. The training facility employs around 400 news articles says. But moving the training center did require repayment. The loans were also the highest rate loans Delta had (around 8%) and just recently became re-payable.

It's a good movie to use for scope messages.

I think this picture works very well but I don't think I can use the larger one without the risk of an infraction... :D

We've had another negative AE. Our JV/code share partners are hiring. People talk about the retirements that are coming but Delta seems in no hurry to find replacements. Are we on a sinking ship here?

If you move your post to the DPA thread, I think we could have a more open discussion.

I wouldn't call it a negative AE - it had 42 more Captain openings than were displaced. True, the 777 and 747 were reduced, but the 747 displacements are because the planes are going through the lie-flat seat mod over the next year.

I guess it seems negative when you move backwards in category. Also, my seniority number decreases every month with no new hires on the horizon. It seems as if I'll remain the same number from the bottom until I'm 50% in the company.

Not a sinking ship...we are on a shrinking ship. Our management chooses to use Delta pilots to fly the Delta brand only as a last resort when all other options are unavailable. Our scope allows that choice. If our TA still gives management this choice, vote NO. Or you'll be talking about these kind of AE's for a very long time.
