You don't want to be in downtown Detroit anyway, it is pretty dead when there isn't a concert or a sporting event. Plus the only decent place down there to stay is Greek Town.

"Eat and Die"?

Looks like the nerf bat is coming for the SWA guys. Sure hope the Tranny guys are happy with that.

Agreed, "downtown like" would work....the MEM downtown hotel is a dump.

Great ribs next door. Rendevouz. Pretty good for a guy living up North.

It's been years since I ate there... but I wasn't too impressed with Rendevouz. The ribs were tasty. But for $13 (and this was quite a few years ago), I'll bet I didn't get more than 1/8 pound of meat off those ribs. I went away hungry. I went one more time and got the pulled pork sandwich that time. It was okay but nothing to write home about. The next layover, I was relaying my experience with Rendezvous to the van driver and he suggested Neely's BBQ as being way better. It's about a 15 minute walk from the hotel (wouldn't do it at night). I think the BBQ is much better there. Still not up there with the best Memphis BBQ places though (none of which are downtown). But if you go to Neely's, you gotta try the "Sock-it-to-me" cake for dessert! Yummy!!! :D

I was taking a look at 73 open time and CAE is in there for ATL guys - its a 9 hour overnight now. But why a 73 and not an 88 for that route? Odd but I guess we need to get used to 73s doing 88 type routes.

Now if you 73 guys want to give up CHS we'll gladly take that off your hands. :D it's a cross we will bear for everyone.

BDL did suck. PVD is one of the nicest, so is PWM. WTH happened with BUF?

Now if we have to stay downtown why are we where we're at in DFW? IAH has a great workout room but that is way too far, pick a better downtown in Houston, they've got like 7 to pick from.

CAE used to be RJ's so it is a move in the right direction.

Bill Swellbar is at it again:

He opines:...How dumb American pilots are, for not settling with the company and offering up concessions, blah, blah, blah, and then this:

Delta’s pilots will have the richest compensation package in the industry after American completes its bankruptcy negotiations. That means they won’t have any leverage over the company even as pilots squawk about the liberal scope clause in the current agreement.
American Airlines, Labor Leverage, US Airways and ChickenLittle - Aviation Articles and Commentary - Swelblog / Swelbar on Airlines

gotta love it, I bet he'll be on retainer...

Cheers
