But let's just say that happens. I go with whatever gloopy says. :D

But as far as hubs in a no AMR scenario, I think Delta Air Lines will have 2 primary hubs where you see a lot of bulk domestic and international connection flying- ATL and DTW. I think DTW is your north/northeast hub without the headaches of NYC and ATL is your FL-rest of U.S. gateway. Both have capacity and international service and if they can work together it's pretty brilliant for connections.

Coming in third would be DFW as a mid-american hub giving you the O&D of DAL/HOU but also great east-west connection flying. All 3 of those are massive and well oriented to take the bulk population in the east and move them to wherever they want to go. It's too far west to trump DTW/ATL in connection possibilities when you consider the population locations but I still contend it's a fantastic location.

NYC like LAX gives you access to those cities. That's priceless but it's more O&D to me then connections. SEA gives you a Asia-West Coast feed while DTW gives you Asia-East Coast feed. MIA would give you SA-U.S. feed, again priceless.

As to MSP, SLC and CVG? CVG is still too close to big bad DTW. SLC still gives you SLC, why give it up? I think MSP is still your midwest hub and why give it up? Less international flying? maybe.

And I really only draw my conclusions looking at the population maps.

Still don't see that happening with AMR nor do I enjoy talking about it.

This map is equally important:

Yeah I have seen him. Really kinda funny to read his posts. AMR will do what they want either way. The interesting thing is if they enter they have offered raises.

Well, so much for Auburn. War Eagle my arse...

Time to get more beer and get ready for Noles-Gators.

And how about some Under boob to take the edge off?

Anyone think there might be a LSU-Bama do-over for the BCS game?

You know when they had the Auburn National Champion celebration Chizik said they had to get started immediately on 2011. I thought, hyperbole.

Oh but he knew only 7 of 21 starters returning, dead last in NCAA, and that we had no QB. Hence they went hard after Wilson, that was a red flag they needed a QB and that ESPN show on them picking their next QB hinted they had nothing to chose from. Then come to find out 51 of 71 scholarships were underclassman. Oh boy. No wonder everyone said 5-7 record.

Key is to get to an even spread in classes from here on out.

But hey, 28-27 still reign supreme:

But give both sides credit, the post game showed a lot more sportsmanship. Maybe if the two schools try hard enough we can exorcise Paul Finebaum's crap out of the mix.

To keep this on Delta... I have nothing. On a side note, my 2 year old girl is now playing with Barbies. She has a mix of old barbie clothes and new dolls... but it turns out old clothes don't fit on new dolls though. The new dolls have wider hips and smaller boobs. So what about flight attendant barbie? Does new flight attendant barbie reflect changes in body size?

How so? I think they offered 3.5 percent hourly wage, but a decrease in work rules followed by a 1 percent raise every 1.25 years. Sounds like they're losing buying power by the year given the fact they haven't had a raise in years.

iPhone help

I've finally come into the 21st century. Surrendered my $15 Wal-Mart phone and got an iPhone 4S.
Anybody able to post a fast primer on what I will need to make DeltaNet, iCrew and TravelNet work? The Safari doesn't seem to work.
Any other "must have" apps?
I am basically clueless on this smart phone stuff.

I like Siri though. I asked her "Who's your Daddy?" and she said "You are".
