Ain't buying any of it? Ridiculous. If we don't see a sizeable raise, DALPA is gone. Just think, they may actually have to NEGOTIATE....who'd a thunk it....Get to it or move over.

Umm.......when we see a raise in our paychecks (1%% or 99%) it will be because we voted it in as a majority, and will give a likely snapshot of what a union drive vote would look like.

.

IF it is a weak TA, it won't pass, and the DPA will roll in. I'd wait an extra year for better pay rather than wait for 5 more with a crappy weak contract. Even United/CAL people are becoming disenchanted with their ALPA unit too. What a mess. No pressure DALPA, but come back with something acceptable or stay in the room and keep working.....I pay enough to demand that of my bargaining unit. I hope the rumors are true about them being in a huff about having to actually negotiate. Do it.

Too true. What?...flamebait on an anonymous message board? I'm shocked...shocked!

Valid point if a TA fails...

"....them being in a huff about having to actually negotiate."

-PLEASE, you actually believe drivel like that?

The NC/MEC/LEC/etc. will be working under that same agreement!
What incentive do any of them have to put out a crappy product? Would you put out a knowingly subpar TA if you were on the NC? If the answer is H#LL NO, then why do you think the guys on the NC would screw themselves with a bad deal? It doesn't pass the "rational thought" smell test.

Should you always give up a source? If you do it, then sources will become extinct. This is a rumor board, but that doesn't mean it isn't true. It's funny if it is true, but understandable since I've had LEC members already try to manage my expectations. "We're not Southwest.". "The NMB will come down hard on us....."

Throttle back a second Bill... I am saying that I don't buy what he's selling. You think they had preconceived notions of 10%? And that they would TELL anybody that? Really? Some of you guys are so spring loaded to go postal every time some anonymous guy posts some retarded rumor without any corroboration that it is amazing. I hope you do not react to an emergency in the airplane the same way... good grief

At the risk... what on God's green earth makes you think that if ALPA cannot deliver that DPA can? Just a few bullet points will do.

Wanna know what I heard at the LCP meeting?

I believe it because I heard stuff like that from a Northern LEC group in a Q&A myself. We were all mouth agape. It's like they already gave up, and this was before the survey. I hope they did get a mandate to go for more, we deserve it. We pay big bucks for representation, not for people who fold like a deck of cards. I hope our negotiators do their jobs, but don't come back with a weak TA, or they will, along with ALPA, face the consequences. It's just the truth. Show results or move over. Can you not agree with that? Don't bring us something weak for the TA.
