Thanks for the pics, FTB. That reminds me of my first year at Baylor. I stepped onto campus and was absolutely astounded by the "scenery" (and I don't mean the buildings or landscaping). :D

I went to college in Waco too, lived there for 4 years. for such a small town the abundance of scenery was fantastic!

If that was there 100 years ago when I was in college, I don't remember it. But then again, I don't remember a lot of the places we used to frequent... :D

I remember spending a fair amount of time in the "secret" back room in this place: Poppa Rollos Pizza

You walked back to the restrooms and there was a pay phone on the wall. If you pushed on the pay phone, the wall (which was actually a door) opened up... and, voila, you found the party!

Ahhh.... good times!

Oh... and just to give you an idea of exactly how long ago it was that I was at Baylor. I had classes and graduated with this guy:

Ah Pappa Rollos, I loved that place!! I hated the town when i first got there but ended up loving it.

Some other favorites were Georges Bar and Bush's Chicken!

I wasnt a Baylor guy but i taught the Baylor flight students when i instructed at TSTC (the old TSTI).

Crickets was always a busy place and it was alot of fun to hang out there.

Anyone know if we still have to input our per diem for CQ or is it automatically input?

Is it still there? I haven't been in probably 6 to 8 years.

(and yes, I should be studying)

I think so, I was thinking of going on my next long MKE layover. Been hangin at the hotel, as they give us a great deal on food and drinks. Plus a long layover on the 9 is just enough time for dinner and a quick beer.....

Thanks for the update Jesse and acl65pilot. One year wouldn't do, two would be okay, but of course, three would be perfect. Now just to wait and see how the company will handle attrition. Attrition will either create hiring or result in further reductions.

Three would have been my ideal choice too, but it sounded like that was not an option. I was not going to take a one year leave so, I did not ask any further.

I do not believe so. I have never done it since I am local, but apparently it is going to be automated.

We do not need to do it any more. I tried doing it last week for my recurrent and the flashing red bar came up saying it's automatically done.

Just flying the Mad Dog makes you our hero. Because then we don't have to. :D
