I got mine around 10 AM.

I think the key is the advance letter BEFORE you have the work done.

I didn't know you could get implants with... uh.. oh.... You were talking about teeth.

nevermind.

Well then... that's all that matters, right?

I got mine at 10:55AM EST. iaflyer posted about it here at 8:45AM EST... 2 hours and 10 minutes prior to when I received it and about 1 hour and 15 minutes prior to when you received it. Not that any of that really matters. But you got to make your point about being so on the ball and signing up for the company emails. Who would have ever thought that a slacker like me would have thought to sign up too?! You're just so sharp, ACL. A legend in your own mind. Someday I hope I can be like you.

Heyas,

Agree with FtB and Hockey. Finding a trustworthy dentist is about as hard as finding any other trustworthy trades these days.

My last dentist was a franchise deal. They absolutely had zero respect for your time. You'd make an appointment for 3pm, and it'd be 4:15 before you'd sit in the chair.

I picked my current dentist purely by the fact that I drove past his office (it's 3 minutes from my house). I've had zero dental problems in my life...not even a cavity, and on the 2nd visit, this guy lays on me that I suddenly need 4k in work done. Ya, right. I tell him to forget it, and just have the hygenist clean my teeth, and I'll let you know if anything hurts.

I stuck with the office because it's close to my house, and if I make a 3pm appointment, I'm in the chair at 3pm. Once I told him I wasn't interested in the work, he let it go, and hasn't hassled me about it since. The insurance is a non-issue, and is handled without any grief. I do go for an extra cleaning a year, which is out of pocket, but it more than makes up for it with less time in the chair on the other two visits. I also pay a few extra bucks for fluoride treatments since I'm drinking less tap water.

So far, so good. 40-ish and still no cavities. (knock on wood).

Dentists are like used car salesmen. I don't think it's medicine so much as its an industry. I use my Delta dental coverage because it's better, and cheaper, then what I can get through my military retirement. I lucked out and got a great guy in SoCal that now takes care of my family as well. Apparently, he does a lot of the Hollywood crowd and doesn't need to fleece the rest of us. He's always looking for ways to cover us and not incur the additional charges. First time in my Delta years that I haven't been totally dissatisfied with the dentists I've had.

If its any consolation, military coverage is worse.

Default Not company emails or dentistry!!!

Guys,
My frau is gathering items to be auctioned for an American Cancer Society Fund Raiser and she asked if I thought momma D could pitch in for some round trip tickets in the conus. Do y'all have any idea where and who I could start with; in asking for this gift to be auctioned.

Please PM me if you have any suggestions.

TGE airport isn't where they were trained. The actual base is NW of TGE north side of I-85. You can still see the multi runway layout and the main base area. It's owned by some company in Georgia the last I was aware of. There's also a field east of MGM ( Taylor Field) that was a WWI training base. A marker is there and you can still see building foundations. Mostly subdivisions now though where the field was.

I double dog dare anyone to use a meow in their announcement...I did and the results were hilarious!

Boomer;

Did you have a nice lunch? Be sure she doesn't work for SWA. This is how they lure you in, then they ritually sacrifice you or put you in the bulk cargo with the temperature set on low.
