What's the difference between an Admin and a Mod?
I guess I see their point, but as Bar says, we are their customers and I never got the feeling from anyone (except you guys) that they cared if their #1 thread died. |

As I understand it, "respect" is not a TOS requirement, but is implied in the desire for professionalism across the board.
In the end, this is just the internet. :D This is the internet. But the revenue is real. Anyone remember the whack job Facebook did on Friendster and MySpace? You don't even have to treat your customers badly ... they'll go where the service is best.

Wow.....CleeIB isn't a name I recognize from any thread. I'm feeling like a guy attacking the pillbox who had a bud next to him get hit. Overall, I think they were a little heavy handed but I'm glad we had OUR mods sticking up for us.
Thanks ACL, 80 & Johnso Somehow, knowing a little about how the business is run allows me to make them angry at the highest levels although my post was innocuous & common sense. FYI:

That said, the Super Admin is the Internet Brands site administrator and he/she has overall control over this site for Internet Brands. I will state again, send a PM to them, and,I suspect, as I have found out, a dialogue via PM will resolve the issues that need resolving. |

Hey bros,
anybody got any good gouge on hotel deals in Las Vegas? I've been looking over the DeltaPerks stuff and it really doesn't look like there's anything there worthwhile. Thanks, Buzz http://static.flickr.com/1380/656900730_add86b3c54.jpg Sure someone around here has a running tab you could use. :D And make sure you stay at a place that has this sign up: http://www.adinnerguest.com/wp-conte...tutionSign.jpg However note the date. |

They've made this the good product it is. Somehow, knowing a little about how the business is run allows me to make them angry at the highest levels although my post was innocuous & common sense. I got a PM from CleeIb also telling me I was out of bounds. I've never posted a single picture. His criticism was that i was disrespectful of the mods because i sttempted to point out that we are the customer. I chose to ignore him. |

I'm a "guest" in his house, so I'm expecting to get shown the door. Of course, nothing to say I could not build a whole lot better house in his neighborhood. As you say, "it is the internet." APC is as "Public" as they come, without even so much as a registration fee to slow down someone registering. FWIW, and at the risk of getting me perma-banned, I recommended to a few people a year or so ago that we take our little gang and head to somewhere else that was a LITTLE more private, with no ads, and a hands off approach. We could be a little more open because cards would be checked at the door, and I had a "blind" forum manager that would keep things anonymous. But it was $10 a head, and no one wanted to do that. On a more serious note, let us know what happens. One interesting thing, this thread is closing in on 100,000 posts. So I echo what Ferd said about thanks ACL, 80 and J29 for making this possible. I remember the night one among us posted an underboob pic and was suspended. I'd never heard of the term before then. But since that was fixed I have to say it's been a whole lot better. I'd also like to thank the diabolical mind behind 80buzzenFTBs. |
