Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

I agree, i was referring to the FM and below post. My point is that there are many things that point towards not furloughing. If there wasnt a cost to the company and numerous negetive effects to a furlough then i would agree it would happen without hesitation. This go around is different though. with that theres roughly 2 years for a breakeven point on furloughs and even the pessimists believe a recovery is less than 2 years out. You also have retirements coming as the age 65 rule is 2 years in effect already and the company cant predict who will go and when thus keeping them on their toes. We'll see but like i've said before, hope for the best and plan for the worst.

I'd be more afraid if I were flying for one of the DAL commuters. DCI??? Is that what you call them?

I guess when it comes to synergies we can't forget to watch closely what synergies occur with regional feed. Do we need long thin feed anymore now that some former RJ routes are better served by a new nearby superhub that didn't exist before?
Somebody was telling me how their DAL flight was cancelled and how the gate agents just had a plethora of more options now such as going via DTW, MSP and MEM, something they didn't have before. And vice versa, if you're NWA flight to Florida is cancelled they can now send you to ATL and on, etc.
