Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

I worked for a regional that had no work rules. and consistently credited 97 hrs plus a month. You work your six off for it. It can be done.

The Compass contract that the NWA MEC approved a couple years ago PROHIBITS any pilot from crediting more than 100 hours a month.

It is not a career job. It is a way to avoid personal bankruptcy if you get furloughed. That is all. 60 or 70K is better than what many of us will be making. I am just being realistic.
Job market sucks guys. Qualified people in other industries are not getting jobs. A pilot who has no other work experience is not going to win any points.

Last time I checked 97 was less than 100

I am a person that is in the aviation industry because I like flying. I am not a person willing to do it for 35k a year as a commuter. Also, if I were to work 6 of my 11 days off as you suggested, that would completely kill my QOL. I am a professional, I am not slave labor. I'd prefer to sleep in my own bed more than 3 nights a month.

The questions I asked about the flowback weren't about what I thought about the planes, but rather so I can be informed on if it were a smart choice to go to Compass. I'd like to know if it is a one shot deal, if you could go there to see if it is worth it, etc... I'd love the plane to be at mainline, love to fly it, but it needs to make finacial sense for me to go over there. I appreciate the information you place on the board, but not everyone is in the same position as you are.

I did some digging a while back and managed to find the flow back agreement (don't ask me where I found it - I don't remember). What I remember from reading it was - The flow back is voluntary for displaced Delta pilots - taking it (or not) does not affect your recall rights - if you take the flow back and then quit Compass, your recall rights are not affected - if you get fired from Compass, then goodbye Delta job! Also, I seem to remember that if you have completed probation at Delta then you will not be on probation at Compass

- if there's a furlough, I doubt it would be small groups at a time, but rather one or two large ones. That way, the company doesn't have to pay for excess training at Compass on the way down, only during recall. ie, they drop 1000, in reality only have to train the number from that group that takes a Compass position. If they could hold off on recalls until they could bring them all back quickly, that would mitigate the training costs on the way back.
- how many would sit right seat there? very few, only the guys/gals who had absolutely nothing else to do or needed the jumpseating rights/medical, which is important, but what I envision is about 170 formal DAL captains and mostly a bunch of ****ed off displaced Compass captains sitting right seat. What a great time that would be.
Of course there's a great rumor flying around now about the company "selling" Compass in some whacked out scheme to eradicate the flowback agreement.
Any July/August AE rumors floating around out there? Most curious about where # of positions will increase and decrease.
