That can't be the news (That DAL is acquiring VA), it was just a BS WAG IMHO J/K, and whatever other internet acronym you want to throw out!

Really? But they're Airbi with MOOD LIGHTING.

If MOOD LIGHTING isn't the basis of a solid airline business model, I surely don't know what is.

Now a south guy bidding MSP -9 I would think would be different because it is an existing position and not a new one (although it would be new for us...dunno).
Thanks, that sounds about right for filling vacancies, but I was wondering about section 6 relocation benefits and if former N bases will be considered "new" bases for S pilots for the purposes of making a relocation claim and vice versa. If a DAL 88 driver bids DTW 9 is he entitled to relocation benefits?

How long did it take you to write mood lighting in different colors?

Delta Captain with a VA Airbi: "Folks, tonight we'll be turning off the overhead lighting to enhance the beauty of our senior flight attendants..."

Heres some gems i've been hearing lately **RUMOR ALERT**

Some DC9s going to LAX to reinstate some of the flying that ExpressJet was doing last year for DAL out of LAX.

New plan for the DC9 includes more than was expected. The -40s will be flown until they come up on heavy mx and then parked but the -30s will include more than was proposed. As the -30s reach heavy mx they will be swapped out 1:1 with those in storage (35ish total). All -50s are getting painted and they are "looking into" converting the cockpits over to match the -88 cockpit so as to enable everyone to fly them. They like the -50 for the roll that it fills and doing that would enable them to be flown until DAL decides on the replacement.

10ish DC9s going to ATL to replace some of the 76 seat feed and the 76ers will thus fill for some of the 50 seaters that are going bye bye.

the 787-800s slots are going to get sold to foreign airlines that dont need the extra weight that was promised and thus we will get in the line up for the -900 versions. We are going to be able to sell the -800 slots for a pretty good profit since we got them at a good rate being the launch customers. With those profits we'll see more 777s in their place.

Also there's rumors floating around that we'll by frontiers airbuses since Republic wants to go to an all Embraer product.

Thats just my contribution to the rumor pile here

I'm interested in the same info...I would imagine once this all comes out we'll get a "Dummies Guide To...." packet.

This is going to be such a huge deal I would think we'll have some time to mull things over. The clock is ticking...if they want to do cross fleet stuff as a part of the pull down I would think we would have started hearing things by now.

I think it's still a couple months away, but with that being said I probably just dared them to prove me wrong.

Some of that actually sounds pretty plausible! Thanks for sharing Super!
