So the JV was the big announcement? Or is something else on the horizon?

Just wondering as I thought this was more of an internal "growth" announcement.

I think we just got PHX plates within the last few months, maybe even TUS....

Anything is possible.....

Been out of the loop for quite a while. So what is the bottom line? Is Delta short pilots? Fat on pilots? Going to furlough? No idea? Anyone with insight please chime in.

Extremely doubtful New. We got the 73's, MD-90s, Alaska's 73's and Skywest all over this place. Plus, the 9 can't fly the arrivals. LA would not allow that. You'd spend all of your time holding and waiting for a visual.

All of the above...we're huge, we're downsizing, we're fat, we're short, fuel is killing us, we're making huge gains in hedging, the international market sucks, domestic is oversold, we're buying MD-90s, we're selling RJs...all I know is that I'm flying my ass off and can't drop a trip...

When did he ask for his own locker room?

Someone sounds a little bitter still about the NFC championship game. LOL As a life long packer fan you should know he was the only thing going for that team. Now that he is gone here comes the Lynn Dickey years all over again. If he signs with the Vikings I'm going to that game in Green Bay. Should be fun.

I am sorry I got people's hopes up. I was so wrong for doing that. My intention was only to say, as I knew it at the time, that 'hey some goods news is finally coming.' But I was wrong. Nothing is forthcoming. For the multiple insults that are heading my way I will accept all (except those pertaining to family members) and I profusely apologize to everyone, hoping you have it in your heart to forgive.

Since I made such a colossal blunder this will be my last post.

Once again, apologies to all!
Hey Opus, don't sweat the small stuff...... and don't leave, we need all us onboard when we fight the "MOTHER of ALL SCOPE BATTLES" otherwise known as

Well, as a commuter, I have stayed at home for my four days on (long call - no short call or trip at all)! Never seen this before. ATL M88B is just about the most active category at DAL-S. All golf and road biking while "at work" all week, I'm not complaining... I feel like one of the retired guys that I play golf with all the time, and its great! Old DAL pilots take note, life is great without work! You've got less than seven days to bail! Needless to say, I'm working on my backup plan.

"Delta 123, you're cleared to "descend VIA the SEAVU2," and then cleared the ILS 25 left, maintain 180 until LIMMA and contact tower."

You guys can fly an VNAV/RNAV arrival to an ILS off the FMS without further guidance? If I'm not mistaken, and I might be, it takes pre-programmed VNAV descents, FMS guidance, and glass to make it happen. I'm an old school C-141 guy so I get it. But they don't give you vectors or speeds into LA. You start your descent over Phoenix and its all via the box. Otherwise, they throw you out over Seal Beach and you're screwed.
