I was displaced from ANC. I chose Memphis over DET, MSP. It's ANC that I love so hopefully we buy Alaska Air soon.

Eric, half of that post is an honest question, the other half is a softball pitch to anyone who'd like to ellaborate on how recall isn't an option at that point and how scope would be sacrificed at the altar by some in the current MEC.

It's hard to type on these employee buses in atlanta, they took out the shocks and the road is falling apart.

This intel is about a week old and has more than likely been superceded. YMMV
Thanks Dragon. Not much different from what I've been hearing. Didn't know how many 90's we have received and we will be taking delivery of in the future? Also curious if they are replacements for aging 88 or additional aircraft?

Has anyone heard about how the company plans to manage the bids and aircraft movement after SOC? Will it come fast and furious or be implemented over 2-3 years? How have to current economic woes impacted the "Plan"?
The 10 Billion dollar question, "What's the fleet plan?"

Nope, just a lot going on. This thread did not have posts for a few months after the last class in 08..

As for the fleet plan, I see more RJ's going to the bone yard in the future.
Need to look at the 5500 block 757's as well. It does not look like they are part of the pain tally that they put on the Weekly Trim Tab. Nor are the DC-9 30's and 40's.
I know we need jets, but to date no firm orders. Lots of talk though.

The AE is to have a couple 777's and more time on the MD-99/90. Where the pilots are coming from is the big question. Maybe the ER or the 767. I am thinking the 767.

That's a lot of 757s gone if they don't replace them. The 30s & 40s too. I hope they have some replacements lined up that are to be FLOWN BY MAINLINE PILOTS!!!!!

Year: 2011

DAL ALPA hired lawyer/negotiator, non-pilot to DAL management negotiator:

"Sir, I don't even have the authority to talk about scope with you unless you are giving some back."

<SNAP!!>

Oh shucks. I just woke up.
