Is it that odd to think that regional guys could be scope hawks too? In my experience, most of us would love to see our jobs scoped out of existence. We've been working in the belly of the beast for years, seen that it's bad for our profession and ultimately our own careers, and would love nothing better than for mainline guys to grow a pair and kill the two-tier regional/mainline system once and for all - even if it put us temporarily out of a job. We know that flying would still exist, just at the mainline level, where there could be unity between small-jet and big-jet drivers.
Anything over an hour in an RJ sucks from a PAX point of view, no matter how big the number is after the dash.
Hey Guys,
Looks like I am going to DTW with this last displacement bid (AE). Thinking of renting a small townhome or apartment within two hours of the airport. I am planing on bidding reserve and I need a place with a garage, as I am a gearhead. I have a few bikes and a snowmobile or two and my plan is to turn a wrench while on call. I am thinking Ann Arbor or Novi areas, as I don't really want to be in the hood. I have a lot invested in tools & toys, so a safe area is a must. Just starting my search, so if you have any ideas, post or PM.
Thanks

The deadline to extend the bypass has past. DAL has sent out notices to those that have not filed paperwork stating they have an intent to return when hiring resumes. Those that turned down that offer have been removed from the seniority list.
Nothing shocking here.
I think you're saying this is what happened. Correct?

I just hope no pilot is removed from the list who has a desire to return. I guess everyone has some responsibility to stay informed, but hopefully they were notified to give their intent to return or not, prior to being removed.
