OK, I've expressed my opinion: I think it would be nice if the mods would cut and paste this to the other thread. I'm going to stop by Ferd's for one last one for the road, and call it a day, go play with the kids. Later. Enjoy your Sunday.

EOM.

The SkyWest 12 year captain rate is $91, not $112.

Interesting you should have this complaint since you're the spammer. Here's just some of your recent posts that responded to my stuff where NO mention of an alternate union was stated:

It's not really a NvS in the sense that each group leans a different way, and maybe I shouldn't say a RvG thing as much as a type of politics that seems to have come with the merger, as evidenced by the tendency to interfere with other councils.

Prior to this, we had differences of opinions on how things should be done, and we had opinions about the individuals representing us dircetly, but we didn't have entire slates of people working together to undo another group.

Carl will of course accuse me of loving ALPA, but all I care about is results and policies, and I am deeply, deeply suspicious of whatever is going on. I think it's about moving people around, and it reeks.

But again, there is another thread for this.

It's quite clear to me that some of the usual ALPA suspects (you included) are screaming DPA when nobody is discussing it but you. Apparently you think you can get mods to remove posts that you don't like by screeching about how sick you are of DPA stuff when YOU are the main one mentioning it. I wonder if this tactic will work for you.

Take a look at this line from the MEC update: "scope...likely will be on the bargaining table..."

I took out a few distracting words like "we all know" and "in every Section 6 negotiation". That last one is flat out false. SWAPA has never put Scope on the bargaining table, AFAIK. I doubt FDX has had to bargain to keep their jobs, either.

I think here they are basically telling us that they are putting our scope up for sale for the right price. Am I reading it wrong? That is one of the two things I got from the message. The other one is that other pilot groups are struggling and the NMB is tough, so don't expect much on this contract. It's amazing how much is carefully written between the lines. Or maybe I'm just getting old and cynical!

You might be reading it wrong. Why do you assume scope concessions?
Couldn't that sentence mean scope improvements are on the bargaining table.

Jesse's over on Ferd's thread where there is nothing but good karma, underboob, brazilian hotties, and the occasional joke. Ferd is the overlord there where he divvies up the Godfather's waitresses all the while swilling some Jack and carrying an unlit cigar like some mafia Don in his element.

Someday, maybe we will all graduate to Ferdness.

If we want to improve scope it must be put on the bargaining table. Otherwise how do we improve it? I think you are just thinking the worse.

Check & 1067,

That makes sense, and maybe I was reading too much into it. Thx

Still, that difference would be 23. Divide by 76 equals 30 cents per seat per flight. Divide each seat by an average 500 mile stage length and you get a stunning effect on CASM.

Stunningly insignificant that is.
