Default Delta bases

Guys,

Just wondering what new FOs might expect as far as bases are concerned (ie what bases are junior).

Thanks,

GNH

DTW DC-9 and NYC MD88 most likely.

Can't predict the future, but right now DTW-9 and NYC (all three airports) M-88 are the junior spots.

SEA is almost unattainable. The most junior guy has over 12 years I believe, but we'll see how this next bid changes that.

MSP is a little more senior than DTW, or MEM on the -9 and -88 but there are "new-hires" from 07-08 holding MSP. Same goes for ATL, which is a little more senior now with some wide-body flying being redistributed.

Other bases are SLC, LAX (also covering several airports), and CVG which is slowly shrinking.

Could someone post which aircraft are at what bases?

I think people are getting the idea on the junior equipment and bases, but I haven't been able to find what equipment is at the various bases.

Thanks

It's all shifting around so what's there now may or may not be there in a year. Fwiw

Its all relative as they are moving planes around the various bases now. You can count on this rough count as of today:

ATL - 88, 737, 75/767, 7ER, 764, 777 (for now)
CVG - 88, 737, 7ER going away
DTW - DC9, 320, 330, 757, 744, 777
MEM- DC9, 320
NYC - 88, 737, 7ER (767), 764, 777
MSP - DC9, 88, 320, 330, 757
SLC - 88, 320, 737, 767
LAX- 737, 7ER
SEA - 330

Junior guys will probably go to ATL, DTW, MSP or NYC to start. Definitely DTW or NYC are junior.

I'll take a stab at it. Things are in flux and some of this may change as soon as next week with a new AE due out soon and I'm sure I'll miss a few but here's a rough idea:

ATL - MD88 73N 767 7ER 765 777

SLC - A320 73N 767

SEA - A330 (rumored to soon have 7ER and possibly even A320)

MSP - DC-9 A320 MD88/90 7ER A330

DTW - DC-9 A320 7ER A330 777 747-400

NYC - MD88 73N 7ER 765 777

CVG - MD88 73N 7ER (although the 7ER is rumored to close soon)

LAX - 73N 7ER

MEM - DC-9 A320

I'll do my best off the top of my head and someone will correct my omissions/mistakes:

ATL:
M88
73N
767 (757/767 Domestic Only)
7ER (757/767 Dom/Intl)
765 (767-400)
777

CVG:
M88
73N
7ER

DTW:
DC9
320
7ER
330
747-400

LAX:
73N
7ER

MEM:
DC9
320

MSP:
DC9
M88/90
320
7ER
330

NYC:
M88
73N
7ER
765
777

SEA:
330

SLC:
320
73N
767

There is a bid due out soon that will probably make some changes to this, but this is the current setup. Generally, the bigger or farther west you go, the more senior it gets.

I wonder why anyone goes past posting DTW & NYC ?

A new hire has to plan for that and accept anything else as VERY LUCKY.
