Last time they put out a memo a few months ahead of time announcing we would be hiring a few hundred. The memo's lately regarding staffing have a barely restrained (imo) tone. I think they know they're going to crank up the machine, but just can't announce it officially for whatever reason (budget, potential merger, etc....)

Good luck fisher. I know you've been tracking DL for awhile now. I'm hopeful you'll get your chance sooner than later. It's a great place to work.

Thanks! My close friends think I am crazy to think about leaving the job I have now. But, as good as my job is, it could end any day. There is something to say about flying for a company who's business plan involves flying airplanes...... my company would continue their day to day business without our planes. There might be some spoiled execs upset about having to airline, but things would press on. I have done a lot of research and I believe big D is going to be "the" place to be long term.

Good luck to all already on board as well to those of us hoping to get on board

Don't punish the poor guy just because Vandy got your coach fired. Plus, I'm not a good indicator of Vandy. Most Vandy grads are smart and have good social skills.....

Double, double breasted....maybe even better than a double rainbow? The double, double breasted gets the same reaction as double rainbow when walking through the terminal.

That's a great point. I have one of those good corporate jobs too and my colleagues think I'm nuts for looking to get out, especially when you consider the pay cut and loss of time off. But, there is just too much uncertainty, too many politics, and no seniority. If you get laid off, you're gone with no recall rights.
