Could you elaborate on this? Thanks.

...And then went to SWA in 1982 and retired as a multi millionaire.

At the time, 1987-ish, DL refused to employ pilots from other airlines, period. When he admitted to being at EA, a fact not on his oringinal application but he updated upon class start, they rescinded the offer. A vanishingly small number of pilots went to DL from other carriers then.

Not sure of all the details, but we had several idiots (clowns?) as EA wound down. One clown went to AS, while using sick leave at EA. AS called for a final reference, which EA looked into, found he was not only on sick, but had used FP Loss for some of missing time at AS. He was another one shotdown TWICE. A lot of us thought taking "revenge" was a good idea, even at a failing airline, it wasn't and isn't.

Columbia: funny, but I hope it's not true!

But, be honest and upright. Take vacation or some "personal" time for a family matter to go to an interview, do NOT call in sick. Try like the dickens to give them as much notice as possible--two weeks minimum.

I definitely would take some time off to go if fortunate enough to get an interview. As good as my company has been to me I would give at least 2 weeks notice. I had planned on retiring from there with a 30+ year career, but as many corporate jobs do things have changed and I don't want to be forced to uproot my family again. Thanks for the words of advice!

I meant "a friend of mine was called on Friday and offered an interview. He can interview as soon as October/November. He is 'off the street'-a retired military fighter puke."

Wow, and I ***** at my kids for their run on sentences (and spelling).

I received the E-mail invite on Friday 1730 Eastern. It said to call the number on weekdays 9 - 5 eastern. I called about 1030 Eastern, and got an answering message. I left my name (even spelled my last name, sheesh) and 2 call back numbers. Now, I sit here wondering, "will she call back?"

It's only been 15 minutes....Deep breaths. You'll be fine. Send your time building Gouge and getting ready. When you get the date it will seem like it's tomorrow. Good luck.

You sound like a girl that wonders if she maybe shouldn't have put out on the first date.

If "she" doesn't call back, maybe you just weren't that good. We all know size doesn't matter. Riiight?

Dude, go for a run.

Are you sure it was Delta and not the online dating service you're on?
