Upgrade might have touched the most senior of the recalls but its still a rarity at this point. And I think its a misnomer to say they "bid what they can hold" since that usually means something else. Even new hires "bid what they can hold" but its only relative to what's available. AFAIK the recalls can only bid on whats available. Unlike a new hire they don't get a freeze, although freezes are waived for first upgrade anyway I think. But just to be clear recalls can't just pick any seat on the list they can hold and say they want that.

I can confirm this. I tried to walk in while at recurrent but the gatekeeper at the desk stopped me. This is a huge departure from when Plato ran the show. I've sent "the email" in addition to the rec, the lack of feed back is what is driving me crazy.

You mean you called it in on that frequency no one ever uses and they still didn't do anything?

I have 10 letters of recs on file and have had 2 of the "emails" returned with confirmation that they were recievied. Still nothing but crickets chirping! Sure hope it comes soon before my company tries to move me to NJ

Patience my friend. This has just started. As in one small new hire class on property so far. Besides NYC pilots have to cover all 3 bases anyway, including NJ.

Bar,
Got the PM. Are you sure he was a furlough return or a LOA return? His seniority number is 53XX. He was hired in 1994. I believe he was fNWA. Did they furlough that deep? The reason I ask is that we were discussing where the returning furloughees were going. LOAs coming back are a whole different thing.

Those that left during the furloughs on their own accord saved someone else's job.
