I used both--but found it can sometimes take several weeks to months to get someone to figure out how to log into their company account and fill out the recommend. Personal accounts took only days.

Like I said, neither here nor there. But it can be interesting how an entity can tailor their views. ESPECIALLY when it's in their own best interest. If they've chosen to "honor the flow", there's nothing they can do about it either. Move on a keep trucking, or look back and "hate" a process that one agreed to honor.
I would be inclined to belive that is MOSTLY true. But just just like EVERY group has their (insert percentage here), there's probably some that disagree with that statement. "NRD's", "you were acquired NOT hired", etc. Like I said, a minority of folks. But EVERY airline has that minority.

Economic research suggests that labor costs less of a percentage of operations costs than you might think. I am certain that ALPA sends you guys this data, I cant speak for DAL but at my airline its around well under 10%. We could get fedex pay rates tomorrow, and that number would still be under 10%...

That's ridiculous. You are just a whiner who wants to drag everybody down with you. Case in point, here comes a newbie that is talking about how much he wants to be here... and as an added bonus, it is OBVIOUS that this would not be his first rodeo, and right on cue you come in and rain all over his parade. What a joy you must be to share a cockpit with.
Oh, and I am far from "coasting out"... gonna remain senior to you for quite a few more years.. kiss kiss

I think his point is, $hit happens...there are no guarantees, plan accordingly. It's not an attack on your beloved DAL.
