Mesabah might not be so far off. What if you were told that Delta now cares that not enough can pass the tests to entice pilots to go to Endeavor? That the SSP might be revamped to say that all tests of Endeavor pilots will be stopped that they are failing. Like eliminating all cog and aviation knowledge tests. Eliminate all mmpi questions and in regards to the panel, lowering the required score for Endeavor pilots?

Interesting rumor.

I'm all for keeping a level playing field. Having a lower standard for a certain group is not the way to go imo

I don't think they could do very much at all at this point to entice a never-ending uninterrupted supply of pilots to Pinnacle or whatever its called this week.

If they really cared, seriously, if they really did care, they would be throwing money and QOL at that pathetic contract. This industry is going to open up far beyond the prospects of one destination airline at the end of a pretty long seniority list of one regional airline.

Gloopy,

Why would management do that when the Pinnacle pilots negotiated and ratified that pathetic contract? It passed by a good margin.

The SSP violated our Section 1 D12 & 11. The thing was never negotiated legitimately to begin with under ALPA's Admin Manual. Now that everyone see the mess that was created it could be the politics have changed enough to kill it with fire as we should have done when our MEC first read about this deal with Delta management in the news papers.

So anything that demonstrates you have a working brain, Delta is letting slide for Endeavor SSP? They already waived the college degree requirement for 9E, jeez, just take a good few weeks and crack open a book and study. I hope this is just a rumor, rant over, back to studying...

Fwiw...what Endeavor mgmt is asking for is a simple records review...Delta is changing Endeavors CFM and checklist to mirror DLs. The thought is, endeavor pilots will be more familiar with the Delta way and so not subject to testing and scoring. While not a straight flow, if the pilot has a good record of low failures, low sick calls, low discipline, they would be selected. Again, this is what is proposed...

Isn't a guaranteed interview enough of an advantage?! 10K other pilots are waiting in line behind the 9E SSP for the same chance to take the same tests and get scored in order to get hired at DL. If 9E pilots have a high washout rate, there's plenty of other candidates to choose from. Nobody knows why some guys get the job offer and some guys don't..could be several reasons...but 9E pilots who are not selected at DL have plenty of 121 TPIC to land at the top of the interview stack of AA, UCAL, JBLU, SWA, NKS, FDX, UPS, ect.. Should 9E pilots get special treatment and be exempt from their hiring filters as well just because they use mainline checklists and CRM? I don't think so..And DL shouldn't lower standards to allow pilots who failed the test to get hired anyway as a result of some new "checklist standardization". If DCI pilots are the same as mainline and have been doing the same job for many years, as many on this forum have argued, there shouldn't be any problem getting a job at several mainlines, especially in the current hiring environment..JMHO
