I know the rules are rules, but man you sure do get defensive. I should speak to my AME because I can't remember as well as you? Are you serious man?

Hmmm, I just recently tried out for San Jose PD. I smoked, and I mean smoked guys 20 years younger on the physical. I got well above 90 on the oral, and I did just fine on the written.

That's great that your living the dream at Delta, but you clearly need some work in the way you talk to others ESP ones you have no idea about. Yes, I stand by my idea it's ridiculous. I don't need people telling me how bad my memory is because dude I Prob forgot more than you know!

. I sure as hell won't remember speeding tickets and there was a ton when I was a teen having a 5.0 strang and wild ambitions with little responsibility

Not everyone is the same, not everyone has the same luck, that's called life. Just pls leave the personal insults for over a beer, it's a lot more fun that way!
That's your problem right there, you are too good to work at Delta....

I asked for some commentary on people's thoughts, not personal insults.

It's easy to be a keyboard warrior dude.

Yes, I stand by my idea it's ridiculous. Was just asking those who have MUCH more exp with this then me their opinions. I don't need people telling me how bad my memory is because dude I Prob forgot more than you know!

As some suggested I went and tried to remember back to high school 21 years ago of all the places I worked. I sure as hell won't remember speeding tickets and there was a ton when I was a teen having a 5.0 strang and wild ambitions with little responsibility

So wait, trying out for the SJPD is like sweet or something? If you got the job go work there. Sounds like you'd be a better fit with those guys. I'm sure they'd be happy to hear all about about your new protein shake recipes and getting wasted with your bros...

In the time you've spent ranting about all this, you could have figured out your work history!

The way I see it, the problem is not remembering the work history from 20+ years ago, but providing the appropriate supporting documentation if asked to do so.

Hmmm, in the FAA medical it asks you to put down any visits to a medical professional within the last 3 years. Well what about if tomorrow they asked you to list it since age 18, would you suddenly remember that too? I bet you would there wouldn't you (:

If you only knew.

BREAK, BREAK:

Dude.

At no time did I say it wasn't ridiculous. I only stated the sky is blue, and forwarded (pages of your rants prior) an idea for why they might want such info.

A last helpful hint, and then I have to go to my Mensa meeting:

If you can't find the info, make your best effort, and when your stunning qualifications land you an interview and if the HR guy asks why you put "unknown" as the name of your BK team leader (he won't), tell him you don't remember. And when he asks you "are there any other violations you didn't list?" just say, "I don't believe so," and then continue with your story about being an irresponsible youngster with a 5.0 'Stang. I used a similar reason to explain my ugly list of tix (though my ride was a 15yo rust bucket with 60% less displacement… all I could afford on a PT min wage job and a paper route).

Or continue complaining. About 115 pilots a month are very happy for you to delay your app. Seniority is everything in this biz (btw, if you make it through the rest of the app/interview/hiring/academy/FTO process you'll find out the same thing at SJPD).

Edit: and if you think DAL's app is burdensome, wait till the pre-poly paperwork for the po-po... You're going to have to dig that info up one way or the other.

I think they are just looking for escalating job categories rather than a series of dead end jobs.. always with the psych. those folks......

I take it from your answer either you were on the job or had family in LE. I did the paperwork and waiting on the poly. Yes it was a lot, but I expected that for a position with them, not for one with delta.

Guess we shall see what happens with the process.
