See Lobo's comment. That's how it went down last time. I've sent in a couple of recs and am using my DAL email. That way, no questions.

and that link is sent by airline apps to the recommender when the potential hiree does what? Or, more simply put, how does that work?
I expected to be asked to recommend someone, gave my delta email address, but nothing heard so far
Maybe they figured out my reputation 'round here and decided not to use me

When I was hired in 2010, the delta.com e-mail was a requirement to go to the top of the list. Date of hire was not required then.

They have a different chief of hiring now; he may have changed the procedure.

So if you apply with an internal rec with a company email address then your app goes to the top?

The "delta.com" e-mail address is an easy sort criteria. A number of vendors use it to verify actual employment.

In 2007 is was used as stated. Various sort criteria was used to cull thousands of applications down to a more manageable number.

I plan on applying regardless so I don't self eliminate myself, just wanted to hear from anybody if they have heard about guys like myself getting an interview. Thanks for the input.
If you don't have any PIC time, you probably do not meet competitive minimums. I would still apply though. You never know.

I don't know. I do know that retired Delta Capt Cal Flanigan is participating in the hiring process. He had 45 years at Delta and was #1 on our seniority list as a 777 Captain for 8 years.
