Are those just to backfill guys who have bid off over the past few AEs or are they new positions? There has been zero backfill to ATL 717B since October even though they've lost a few FOs each AE.

They don't post backfill positions. They post the reason on the bid. In this case it says aircraft deliveries.

If the positions are posted on the AE bid, they should be in addition to what is already there. The one caveat to that is if, in the letter that accompanies each bid, they are listed as contingent bids like some positions were in the last AE bid.

Thanks, that is great news. I'm torn. Moving to ATL end of summer. While commuting from SAT I'd rather have a line in NYC than reserve in ATL. Once I move to ATL then anything local is better than commuting. Just worried if I don't bid and get it here, they won't have another AE with ATL 717B positions until well after I move. I suck at tea leaves.

You have options. You might as a example bid ATL at 80% which should be bottom line holder. You could also put your first choice as NYC 717 with a percentage where you would like to stay like 50% rather then get the ATL award. With the west coast base opening and freezes expiring it's hard to predict where you might end up but you can tailor the bid.

Is there a timeline for staffing the LAX 717? Would LAX 717 be an option for a new hire anytime soon?

Thanks

I would imagine if they don't get 35 volunteers on this AE it will be an option.

Does anyone have the order of aircraft chosen in this last indoc class? I'm interested to see what the spread is and who the last guy was that could still choose any of the available aircraft.

In the Feb 17th class I think it went all the way to person number 37 still having all choices available. We were a class of 63. I hear calls for the April 6th class have begun. Good luck to all!
