The compass flows for this May 4 class have been held by compass for the past 90 days. They selected their category and base when they were assigned a seniority number...almost 90 days ago. I know a couple of flows who received Airbus and 7ng

Yes that means the compass flows for the May 4 class have seniority over roughly 150-190 pilots who started class before the compass flows. How is this possible? Bc the flows were assigned a seniority number by Delta, in the contract compass has liberty to hold back flows for a max of 90 days, hence they have much higher seniority than the rest of the May 4 class (someone please correct me if I am wrong - please)

You're technically right, but the vernacular may be somewhat confusing to some. The CPZ flows were "hired" on their original class date (90 days prior to when they show on property in most cases) but held back. Once they show up on property, they go to class, which is usually also full of day one new hires. But the CPZ flow pilots technically already had their "class date" 3 months prior.

Its similar to when the furloughed bypass pilots showed up. They could take a class in 2007-2014 but would have their seniority from their original class date in 2001 (etc) even though they'd be in class with new hires.

Thanks for the reply. I know in the past it took about a month. Now that there is a small pool I was curious if it was still taking that long or longer. Anyone recently get their cleared to train letter and know how long it took? ? Thanks.
