Not trying to talk anyone into anything, just laying out options as I saw them. Cheapest/easiest option is a crash pad off VA. Next easiest is a VA hotel.

Airbnb is another option for those that have a car. I think I paid something like 800 for the month and split a house with another in my class. It was 10 minutes door-to-door from the training center and cheaper than even the cheapest hotel in the long run.

If you stay at a hotel on Virginia Ave. you can walk back and forth to training. I stayed at the Holiday Inn and walked every day. The only shady thing I saw in the six weeks I was there was a few "ladies of the night" at the Econo Lodge.

Probably depends on what time of year you are in class. For those in June, July, August I can't imagine walking in the heat of the day that far would be very comfortable.

Guy in my indoc got mugged at 7pm, I wouldn't walk in the dark by myself anywhere near Virginia Ave.

Must have been some high class ladies at the econo lodge. Better than the Westley.
