Very true. Basically sounds like it won't be the 100 or so like previous months. Still better than 0!

well, with this slowdown here's a question for training during the holidays. Is there a provision in the contract to allow days off for Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year's while in training?

Usually, those holidays are taken off.

I would think the hiring has to start picking up again sometime soon. Isn't their around 350 guys in the pool right now and growing each day? If they do 50 a month then they don't need to hire for 7 months and I can't see that happening. Have they started calling the May CJO's yet?

My buddy went over christmas in 14 and had a sim that ended late chrostmas eve so technically he got christmas off but couldnt make it Gme til later in the day.

The hiring will pick up in the fall when the summer surge is over. I suspect they are also waiting to see if the contract ratifies. They have to start E190 training by Spring if those aircraft are coming.

You could argue that "ouch" is more appropriate for the last few groups that went to 7ER, and will stagnate or perpetually slide backwards.
