I'm pretty sure your probation extends one-for-one for mil leave periods exceeding 30 continuous days, but I'm too lazy to look it up at the moment...
60 cumulative days

The guard unit seams pretty flexible so I don't think there will be a problem getting through IOE before going to Little Rock, but they've been deployed so no communication on timeline. At some point while I'm on probation I'll have to take several months of Mil Leave which isn't the most ideal situation, but at this point I'm still on cloud 9 on getting the CJO! Any thoughts on approximately how long after Indoc I should tell my guard unit would be a good time to attend the C-130 training?
I assume you were up front about your military obligations during your interview? If so then I agree that it would be in your personal best interest to get consolidated before dropping mil leave. If you forgot about the 8-9 months of military obligation during your interview, then I'd recommend getting off probation 1st.

Long time lurker, first time poster.

Got the CJO on 7/2 w/ FLYCAMERON.

Talked to a buddy who was interviewed on 7/3. They were 8 of 10.

Happy 4th of July!

I was up front with everything I knew, which was basically I'm Palace Chasing and going to a different airframe which will required mil leave for initial qual training probably in 2016. They didn't ask about dates and I didn't speculate.

If your consolidated they will have no issues. Even if your not they will work with you if there are no other options. You will more then likely need a currency sim anyway due to the time you will miss. Delta generally has no problem with mil leave especially if it is a school. Where they get upset is if you drop trips over a holiday to do one paperwork drill or consistently place a drill day right in the middle of each on call block on reserve. A large portion of the management pilots were or are in the reserves. They know exactly what your doing in those cases.
They have had issues with a few individuals who showed up for in doc and then dropped long term orders on them. Still not much they can do about it.

I think my unit will be able to accommodate waiting until after consolidation to send me to Little Rock. Thanks for the heads up about how not to use mil leave. My goal is to just not highlight myself over the next year with either of my new employers while making it through training.

Happy 4th!

Default Consolidation and Probation

Pls confirm, "Consolidated" is 100 hours after OE is complete, and "Probation" is 400 hours, total? Or 400 plus the 100 of consolidation? Thx.
