I thought it was 8ish more 717s or something like that. Keeps changing though.

Take it for what it's worth (not much), in my category - DTW 7ER - no FOs hired before last year are changing into it and a lot of people are moving out/up. My theory is people are afraid of stagnation when the planes start going away. Combine that with a relatively senior group bidding to captain and widebody FO positions and you get relatively quick movement for a new hire.

The 757s are supposed to start going away next fall which may cause the stagnation of which people are afraid. I think it will still be a good place for junior people though because the senior guys will continue bidding to widebody FO and captain positions. It would still be a bad place for a senior FO to go because attrition would be around their seniority as opposed to above their seniority.

FWIW, I think the 757-200 fleet is supposed to eventually stabilize at 80-something airplanes which is (I think) a 40%-50% reduction in that fleet. The 767 domestics will be replaced by A321s while the 767ER and 757-300 are supposed to be stable. The numbers above are based on my memory, which isn't good. Delta is always looking for good deals on airplanes too so the numbers could end up slightly higher but my guess is most or all 757 purchases will be for parts.

What is a new hire pilot tested for in Indoc training? I assume it's not airplane/systems stuff since that material is not distributed until once there.

At the very end you take a test that reviews the last two weeks. It's not a threat.

Personality.

Testing doesnt start till you come back for aircraft qualification. Indoc is a lot of briefings.

That's funny!
I have my resignation letter ready to submit for two weeks notice should we get the call today. Also waiting to hear the aircraft drop from today's indoc class.

I'm starting to worry that they may not be offering June 1st for Poolies. Class would start 2 weeks from today. Anyone from early April interviews get their cleared to train letter yet?
