Does anyone know when the new 737 sims will be up and running and when the two sims they took down for Mtx, will be running again?
Are we up to 600 in the pool yet? So if they were to train 100 guys a month that should put a new hire around March for a start date but they are only doing 60 a month right now so it would seem lucky to even start by April.

Looking at Badger's spreadsheet, few pages back, shows 350+ in the pool. That's off the streets, Compass should be done in Oct (that's 30 more) and Endeavor soaks up 17 per month. So the pool for a CJO this week is is approx 350+30C+17E (per month). Plan on a few more sneaking in ahead of us, Mil Defers and a couple Compass stragglers. BLUF, not 600.

What I found odd is in the 717 in NYC we can't drop or move a trip to save our lives our manning is so tight. I just did CQ and I simmed with a DGS instructor who I had simmed with during my initial training. He told me the MIA operation had been shut or slowed down for a couple months due to not enough new 717 pilots. I feel like I'm missing something here.
1. The company doesn't have enough 717 pilots
2. There is a huge pool
3. There is excess capacity in the 717 sim
I don't understand why we're not having bigger classes to shore up this manning hole. Not a big hole, but we could probably use another 10-20 717 F/Os up in NYC.

I'm still a believer in the thinking that they were expecting the TA to reduce immediate hiring needs. If that is true then it's not a stretch to suggest they are waiting for the results of TA 2 before they unleash the pool. Personally, I think it's foolish to create such a large pool with other carriers hiring as much or more as us. We are taking a big risk of losing a good portion of the poolies if they are willing to take the first class date they get. My money says they aren't sitting around only for Delta. Some will but not all.
