Or, check out thrift shops/military surplus stores close to Navy bases. Then, all you have to spring for is some gold braid and buttons.

Correct, although it works the same way as any other category freeze -- a new hire assigned to NYC M88 B can bid ATL M88 B right away.

Anyone know when the seat lock applies to the cpz flows, is it from the award date or when they start class?

From their original class date.

I can confirm this....unfortunately. Hired in 2010, sat in pool, letter expired, 3 years later...re-interviewed, in the pool again...back of the line!!

If you are in the pool already and we just started, its the back of a pretty short line all things considering. Congrats and hope you get a class soon.

If we start from Jan. 1, 2014, = 709.5 pilots per year, through 31Dec17, depending on the 739/757 swap/add.

Slightly more than the rumored 600/yr.

Nice. Let's hope he's right.

You know, we keep hearing numbers like this, but the clock is ticking and we have interviews/poolies from autumn when they first began saying they've been told late summer or later class dates. I'm not seeing how we're going to ramp up to those numbers if we keep the front end of the wave as small as its been.

O-5 jacket off the rack, color in the stars with a sharipe, good to go.

Looks like 4 ATL 717 on 1/27
Plus NYC/atl 88 3 of each

The base seat I want has 4 different results
Total pilots
First Pref
second pref
Third pref

The numbers in the first, second, third do not add up to total pilots.

Which one is the most realistic number to look at?

Thanks

That's a nice to look a page and will let you know if you are in the ballpark as far as holding something. What it doesn't tell you is guys senior to you that have put in qualifiers like: I want to be in the top 50% or I don't want it. Or: I only want it if I can hold a regular line.

They don't add up because there are guys that have it in as their fourth, fifth, sixth etc choices that figure into the total column.

My advice, don't worry what numbers say, if you want a position, put the bid in. Ya never know what will happen.

Thanks for the info

To add to what Denny said, that number really doesn't give you very good info. I've been awarded AE's that showed 200+ people senior to me bidding for that spot and have gotten it on awards of maybe 30 people.
