Anyone know when the seat lock applies to the cpz flows, is it from the award date or when they start class?

I can confirm this....unfortunately. Hired in 2010, sat in pool, letter expired, 3 years later...re-interviewed, in the pool again...back of the line!!

My bar napkin quick math shows that equals 2838 pilots needed (including the attrition) by 31Dec17.
If we start from Jan. 1, 2014, = 709.5 pilots per year, through 31Dec17, depending on the 739/757 swap/add. Slightly more than the rumored 600/yr. Nice. Let's hope he's right. |

Or, check out thrift shops/military surplus stores close to Navy bases. Then, all you have to spring for is some gold braid and buttons.

Quick AE question for a FNG
The base seat I want has 4 different results Total pilots First Pref second pref Third pref The numbers in the first, second, third do not add up to total pilots. Which one is the most realistic number to look at? Thanks They don't add up because there are guys that have it in as their fourth, fifth, sixth etc choices that figure into the total column. My advice, don't worry what numbers say, if you want a position, put the bid in. Ya never know what will happen. Denny |

That's a nice to look a page and will let you know if you are in the ballpark as far as holding something. What it doesn't tell you is guys senior to you that have put in qualifiers like: I want to be in the top 50% or I don't want it. Or: I only want it if I can hold a regular line.

To add to what Denny said, that number really doesn't give you very good info. I've been awarded AE's that showed 200+ people senior to me bidding for that spot and have gotten it on awards of maybe 30 people.
