For you poolies, the following are the total "vacancies" and the percentage of each category that were left open after this AE closed. Two caveats, these numbers are only as good as my math, and they are written in sand, as Delta target numbers change often.

ATL73N - 7, 2%
DTW73N - 26, 20%
NYC73N - 35, 20%
ATL320 - 18, 10%
DTW320 - 56, 33%
NYC320 - 61, 50%
ATLM88 - 88, 15%
NYCM88 - 107, 52%
ATL717 - 43, 19%
DTW717 - 35, 35%
LAX717 - 6, 8%
NYC717 - 101, 60%

Of note; over half of the projected number of F/O seats required for NYC320, M88, and 717 will be available over the next 6 months. So if you are looking for the fastest rise in seniority, those MAY be your best bet in the short term. As always, aircraft deliveries and retirements, and some of the planned airport gate expansions (most notably LAX and SEA) will have big impacts on these projections going forward.

Good luck, and welcome to Delta.

Whoa! Those are some good numbers on the 737! I vote they should open the floodgates exactly on the 4th of April!

Default To 4 April Indoc Players

I just got a call from Pilot Selection. They will email an amendment tomorrow and the final information on Monday along with the dinner information.

To clarify: Amending Onboarding Letter dated 21 March Class.

it's going to be interesting how monday's drop plays out.

30 nyc 88
20 nyc 717
10 sea 190

I would like to see more west stuff dropped in indoc....leads to much more exciting drops with not everyone going to nyc

i don't think those really matter, they always under and over fill vacancies on the AE

Delta rarely, if ever, over-fills vacancies on an AE (do you have an example, cause I can't think of one). Understand that if they post 10 vacancies, and 20 people bid in, and 10 people bid out, that isn't over-filling, that is just filling.

Delta almost always has a number of categories with open vacancies after an AE. If they post 500 new seats, with the exception of a few categories where they choose not to backfill, you will have close to 500 seats available after the AE. It is a net sum gain. Those seats are filled with new hires, future AE's, or adjusting the category downward. It is by no means absolute, but having watched it the last couple years, it is as good as any as far as a predictor of where the company will focus new hires for the next couple months (until the next AE.)

They did the same to our class, gave us a February letter. Must be swamped.
