Herkflyr's probably the majority here at Delta. This pilot group is a YES voting group by default, therefore only a pretend union can actually be had here. Sad. Carl I think the demographic is changing, but will take a long time to get back to where the dominant voting block could retire at anytime. There may also be a bit of Stockholm syndrome after the 9-11/SARS/Asian banking crisis/BK/Black Swan catastrophe. |

I replied "I don't want to, but we sure better be willing to, and I don't feel that you are." And yes I was upset by the recent "be willing to say yes" missive from our MEC chair (where did that come from?) Bottom line is that I acknowledge that there are knee jerk yes voters out there. But that doesn't mean that there aren't knee jerk no voters out there. Just read any TA, evaluate, vote accordingly and give your fellow pilot the deference to do the same. |

A piddley 1% raise won't do squat for them. They would be much more inclined to vote NO for a 1% raise, and wait it out. |
