Just a small point. Delta has not written down all their fuel hedges. They have written down some of the hedges but are still deeply on the down side. That is the specific reason Bastion keeps mentioning margins at market fuel prices. Management does not want to talk about how badly they have managed our fuel situation. We are going to pay well above market rates for the rest of this year. Our actual margins will be less then the market fuel rate margin. The later sounds better when talking to wall street.

and your post sounds like you are trying to lower expectations, just saying..

Now, if we could get rid of out-of-base WSs, those would all be GSs:D

I've heard from a number of sources that getting your days paid back on reserve is something the company has wanted to do away with. I've heard they want to pay 2X pay above guarantee with no PB days for reserves. That would basically stop rolling thunder, but not force them to cover trips using GSWC.

Maybe if the fuel hedging guys had called in sick more, we wouldn't have lost billions!

Leaks, lies, and target balloons. You guys are giving the company exactly what it needs to hose us at the table.

And I lose about six grand every time Lewis pushes "send" on an email.

By all means let's sit quietly while the surrender monkeys get us another cost neutral C2012.

RJs are saving our bacon!!!

JVs are saving our bacon!!!

Concessions are good! Think of the increase in profit sharing! Oops we reduced that again.

But the survey said to keep or increase. Yeah but the line pilots are stupid. We know better.

Not trying to lower expectations, but to the contrary. Our current contract will serve us well through the summer. Why the rush? Will the 717, oops airbus deliveries this time stop? We aren't amendable until the end of the year. Let's take this up in the fall and see where we are in Q3.

As for fuel, more context on the way, gotta find the source docs. Be sure to read the fuel paragraph and the notes in the Q1 2015 report. Key words: second half

When I read the C1 newsletter this was the first thing I thought of... These rumors tend to be in the general, without a lot of specifics. What metric will be used to determine if the alleged rumor was in fact close enough to what came out in the end...

So far we have:
9/9/5/5
9/6/5/5
Sick Leave harassment
Reduction of profit sharing
GS going away/Significantly reduced

What did I miss. This will sure to be cataloged for the next time we have a contract negotiation and the usual suspects with through them back and forth. Lets set the record straight now! :p

More 76 seat RJs for the DCI. I know this can't be true because no voting MEC member is so stupid as to make yet more scope concessions during historic record profits.

I think you have 3 entities here and probably should separate them appropriately: NC, Reps and MEC People.

I'm hoping the Reps push back if the NC brings back concessions.

Lewis and Bartels. They screwed up the bankruptcy negotiations, they screwed up the JCBA negotiations, and they screwed up the SLI negotiations. Now they act like they are a couple of geniuses. What a pair.
