Change your mindset. Demand improvements in every section. Stop spreading the rumors or accepting them as valid, much less reasonable. This corporation is running 20% profit margins. It's now or never.

We will never see a better chance to improve our way of life. Write your reps. Demand more, not one concession. There is no reason to accept a concession, and 6 billion reasons to demand a better contract.

On time On target

Ok. Enough facts for one day. Here's my personal indulgence.

Will someone please explain. "On time On target" to me.

I am completely serious. More directly, define time and define target. My assumption is that it can't be done. Time is irrelevant or subjective or not a finite moment (too many late layovers watching Morgan Freeman or Neil Tyson) and target is secret.

If this is the case can I request an admission that this if fluff and a move to a new mantra/slogan. However, if someone could enlighten me I would appreciate it.

And also can I get a new stylus pen?

That's just what I've been doing.

You're correct that it's just another fluff slogan. Donutelli started out with "An Historic Contract" then said "The Greatest Contract in the World", then went silent.

This new slogan is poll tested to ensure ANY contract negotiated meets the standard...of the slogan.

Let me guess a response by some: two hands in a bush is better than one hand in a bird so... wait... one bird in a hand is better than two eggs in a bush... wait... now really just wait... Why would I want a bird in my hand?

Anyways, time value of money. There. Build towards the next contract or go nowhere. Look at SWA, five years overdue, do you want to go down that route if you could have improvements across the board TODAY?

Improvements such as, fewer RJs at DCI, better productivity balance with JVs, pay raises in section 3 with DOS increase starting this summer, less at risk pay, and improvements that lead to more first time Captain opportunities. And then more in 3 years.

Our do you want to go the SWA route?

You would say...

Thank you! I hear these rumors and think the sky must be falling! What the What?!!!! How in the world could any of this be true?

I've resigned myself to ignore this $#!t until I see what's really going to come down, but I must admit these rumors can't help but affect one's expectations. Being one who was disappointed by C2012 and knew we were giving up too much at the time, I KNOW we're in an even better position this time around, so I've got that as a counter weight to this propaganda machine of expectation management. But I fear the average YES voter from C2012 might easily be managed if they're getting wind of these "rumors."

You know what would've been cool?

If DALPA had laid out the exact cost to operate CRJ900s/E175s here and taken into account the quality control, productivity and ROI that operating those jets at mainline instead of DCI provided the company and then published it and flight for it.

Whatever nickle and dime short comings we'd had because of pilot hourly pay would've been more than made up for with improved QC, productivity and roi.

You could have made that argument and the it down for all to know is what you demanded.

I was going to let this one marinate but too many came to mind instantly.

No time no target
